As Exotic As A Wild Tiger

Like the rest of the Cat species on Third Earth, Tygra is a feline humanoid alien, having a combination of humanoid features with feline characteristics. Overall, his facial features resemble a human’s, however his brown eyes have feline-like vertical (slit) pupils, he possesses cat-like ears located where normal human ears are, his canine teeth are sharpened and elongated, and his nose and nose bridge are slightly flattened akin to a cat’s. Similarly, while Tygra’s body is mostly humanlike, his fingers and toes end in long, non-retractable, sharp claws, with his toes also being slightly longer than a normal human’s and held together at rest like a cat’s paws.
What sets Tygra apart from other humans, however, is that his body is covered with a feline coat of short, soft fur adorned with the orange and white colorings and black markings similar to that of real-world tigers. His orange fur is naturally decorated with black tiger stripes, though his stripes are more symmetrical, spread out, and identical than those of normal tigers. This orange-and-striped fur covers a good part of his body, specifically his forehead and the bridge of his nose, the back of his ears, the back and sides of his neck, most of his arms, his shoulders, back, sides, hips, butt, most of his legs, and the tops of his feet. His white fur, like normal tigers, is a single color and lacks stripes. The white parts of Tygra’s coat cover his face from the eyes down, the inside of his ears, the front of his neck and throat, his collar, his chest and stomach, his groin, his lower forearms and hands, the upper part of his inner thighs, and the lower part of his feet. His coloring is similar to how normal tigers have orange fur and black stripes on most of their bodies but have white undersides comparatively.
Cats interestingly possess humanoid hair in addition to their fur coats. Tygra styles his dense hair in an upward sweep, kept pulled back from his forehead and allowed it to form what look like “cat ears” (or ironically maybe even owl horns) atop his head. Similar to an inverted triangle on the whole, Tygra’s hair is white for the most part, but the “top” of his hair is orange and both outlined and striped with black, similar to the markings that cloak the rest of his body. His stripes radiate out from his hairline and spill backwards over the top of his hair, before narrowing to a tapered point at the top of his neck. He also sports some thick sideburn-like scruffs in front of his ears and some spikey scruffs at his hairline above the nape of his neck. As expected of a tiger, he possesses black eyebrows which are sharply arched over his eyes and have a spike of black extending out from the arch. Finally, Tygra has a thick checkmark-like pattern below each of his cheekbones, a feature shared among many of the Cats, though his are black like the rest of his stripes.
Due to living his life as a warrior and a prince, Tygra sports a very defined musculature, with noticeably strong arms and legs, broad shoulders, and a powerful torso. While he’s tall for his race, being slightly taller than his adoptive brother, Lion-O, Tygra is still shorter than a great many other Cats, suggesting his height is about average for warriors. Tygra also falls into the tailless subsection of his species, lacking the feline tail others possess. Ironically, tailed Cats are considered as having a birth defect and sometimes given a "social stigma," though it’s been suggested tails are a product of different dominating traits within the race. Because of his feline aspects, Tygra sometimes vocalizes like a tiger alongside his words, such as purring when he’s content or happy (something he’ll rarely do outside of private areas), rumbling a tiger’s snarl or growl when angry or right before attacking, and occasionally emitting a tiger’s roar when attacking or yelling. Being a member of the Tiger Clan, Tygra understandably looks very different from his adopted family of Lion Royals, but his looks are also considered quite charming and handsome due to those exotic features. Trivia-wise, Tygra is classified as a Sumatran Tiger, a rare tiger subspecies that inhabits the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
In terms of dress, Tygra usually wears one of two outfits, a blue outfit during casual times and green armor when in combat. Both outfits, despite their different functions, have a few things in common between them. The most obvious is the large, red jewel embedded at the center of Tygra’s chest. This gem is a signature of the ThunderCats and appears on each members’ outfit in one form or another. The other is Tygra’s choice of footwear. Like the rest of the Cats, Tygra doesn’t wear shoes; instead, he dons stirrup-styled footwear that only cover the tops and insteps of his feet, essentially leaving him barefoot so he can use his claws for climbing, combat, and traction. For similar reasons, Tygra avoids wearing gloves that cover his fingers and opts to go barehanded if none are available. Tygra enjoys little aspects of asymmetry in his clothing, such as donning only one piece of armor instead of the set or decorating one limb and leaving the other bare. Of special note, the thick metal bracelet/cuff he wears on his right arm is engraved with repeating V designs simulating “stripes” and was found in the hot-air balloon with Tygra when he was discovered as an infant. In colder weather, he wears a fur-lined blue coat complete with hood and some armor around his collar.

His blue outfit combines elements of Thunderian royalty with active wear. A light navy sleeveless shirt lies beneath a navy Thunderian vest, cropped in an inverted V towards the underside of Tygray’s chest. He leaves his high collar open to expose his neck, displaying an air of rebellion mixed with authority, and opts to don both a decorative shoulder cloth with jagged edges above his left bicep and a light blue forearm guard on his left arm, choosing to leave his right arm completely bare. On his lower body, Tygra wears a pair of pale blue casual pants down to his knees, the flared hem around his waist and the similarly-flared hems about his knees being held tight by a dark blue sash aslant and cords respectively. Blue fabric guards cover his shins and terminate in metal knee guards fitted into the lower hems of his pants. Curiously, Tygra adopts a metal guard over his right shin and ankle, but leaves his left bare, furthering the little asymmetrical aspects of his outfits.
His green armor is the outfit he’s seen in all the time since the fall of Thunderia and possesses elements of the Thunderian military. Beneath the armor, he wears a sleeveless, navy catsuit of sorts that sports a outlined, transparent section running from his neck down to a circle showing his chest and terminating in a long strip running over his stomach down to his waist. Atop the catsuit, Tygra wears sleeveless chest armor with a fortified section on his back, an armored fauld about his waist that shields his outer thighs and bears the holster for his laser pistol on the right leg, and armored greaves over his ankles and shins ending just under his knees. Once again, Tygra chooses to leave his right arm bare save for an armored, fingerless glove and his bracelet. On his left arm, however, he leaves his shoulder bare, but equips a bicep guard and armored, fingerless glove overtop a striped sleeve, similar to his underlying catsuit, that covers his wrist to his bicep.
